it seems my laptop has died a death and is not worth repairing - hoping to recover files, though

So, have had to crank up the old pc again - doesn't like being started very much, I notice, and also freezes on me a lot - fingers crossed this doesn't pack in as well - at least until i decide if i'm going to buy a new laptop or have a christmas whipround the aged relatives and wangle a mac somehow. I'm reallly fed up of throwing good money after bad.

If anyone's still interested, the next chappie of Epiphany is up on OWl and TPP and in the queue at Ashwinder.

Sorry I haven't been feeling terribly communicative of late - I guess the old black dog has been sniffing around and has outstayed his welcome. RL stuff has been getting me down for various reasons - I was hoping to get back to the UK this month to give my family a good talking to, but it looks like I won't be able to go now until August. Oh, well. they'll have to wait.

On the plus side, I have begun modding at OWL, under annie's eagle eye.
I have completed a chapter of Epiphany. Won't be posting it on any archives until I've done the follow up chapter though in case I need to edit. (It is up on my IJ comm but under a flock :)

Oh, and if anyone can tell me why a cd refuses to format (I'm trying to do a back up disk) I'd be glad of the help.

This is an all ship fest for writers and artists. Let's give Severus a birthday to remember!

Still recovering from a cold which seems to have drained all energy out of me. I can't remember when I last felt this lethargic, but my brain is definitely not firing on all cylinders - and with visitors arriving soon, well, I'm sure you get the picture. So, it was a very nice surprise to find that 'Cuckoo in the Nest: the Baby Dialogues' has been featured on OWL this month. Thank you Annie and Potionsmistress for the banner.



I am also being taken on as a trainee mod on OWL, and am looking forward to starting when both cold and visitors have gone.

Did anyone see the programme last night on channel 4 about sex education versus porn? I only saw the last 15 minutes or so of it. The premise of the programme was about how exposure to pornography on the internet at a young age affects attitudes to sex.

As usual, you try to write one thing, and something else pops into your head. I've extended the first chapter of my anti mlc fic which may be found here. Feedback appreciated.

I've had a reasonable couple of days, creatively-wise speaking. Almost finished the epilogue for What goes around, but the ending just won't gel. I've tried several versions, none of which i'm very happy with. It's just so frustrating when I know it's only a paragraph or two off completion.

And while I remember, I've a question for the technically minded. My browser for some reason has stopped accepting any cookies (lj etc have to log in everytime i switch on, despite asking it to remember me) I haven't touched anything I'm aware of to change it. Firefox tools regarding cookie acceptance is the same as it's always been.

In other news, the last installment, minus the epilogue, of what goes around is almost ready to post, thanks to the ever prompt septentrion1970 I'd hoped it would be ready for valentine's day, but it was not to be.
